Need help burning dvd's
Hey all, i have a question about burning videos. I Have .mkv (bluerays) formats that i'd like to burn onto a dvd to watch in my regular dvd on my tv. What do I need to do that? I"m guessing a converter program, and a burning program. Is that all? can someone suggest a good free one? I've downloaded CDburnerXP witch is working great, eccecpt the fact that it burns whatever format the file is in, and I don't have the option to convert. So I guess I just need a converter? please help.

MKV files aren't blu-ray files. They're just a container, usually on videoCDs (course, I don't actually own any Blu-ray stuff yet, so I could be wrong here)
More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matroska Open the file using winrar and extract the DAT files (if it won't open with winrar, try mounting it in dameon tools). Rename the DAT files to AVi files. If you can convert them at that point, great. If not, probably the easiest way would be to grab DVDFlick, add the video file(s), and burn it to DVD.
