Removing 'Templates' shortcut in Word 2007
Howdy,
Is there a way to remove the annoying 'Templates' shortcut in Word 2007 under Vista? Or at least a way to force it to remain in the position I move it to? Practically every time I open the Save or Open dialog box that vexing Templates shortcut is always sitting atop all other shortcuts and it's really wearing on my nerves. Unfortunately, it's a fixed shortcut, and right-clicking on it doesn't give me the option to delete it. Is there a registry workaround or something to make it go away? TIA

Hi Nuke !
![]() I think the disable you want is in the custom tool bar.

I think he's referring to "Favorite Links" within the Explorer window that you see when you do File Oen or File Save.

This is the shortcut I am talking about:
In the picture I have already moved to where I want it (actually I don't want it there at all, I want it gone), but it always appears at the top when I restart Word or after I have been using it for quite a while without closing it. Jeez, it doesn't even stay put for the duration of the current session!
