Angry Fire internet browsing

I am not sure what is going on. When I go to different sites I get the error page. You know the one that says try again. I sometimes have to back page and try again several times to finaly get to the page I want. I have run norton anti virus, spybot and registry patrol and nothing is helping. Is this a virus or trojan?? Do I have to wipe my hard drive???
Please help.

What browser are you using?

Have you tried a different browser?

Have you cleared out your temp internet files and cookies?

do other programs give you problems with your internet connection?

How are you connected to the internet?

reboot

I will try the reboot on the router, I did wipe my comp but still have the problem. I bypassed the router and plugged directly into the cable box and it works great. will let you know how it goes.
