Software to print 360 degree increments
I am looking for a template or software that will allow me to print equally spaced lines like you would find on a dial. I am looking for 100 equally spaced increments. Thanks.

Increments in a circle? Like a protractor on paper?

Yes, but I don't need 360 lines, just 100 equally spaced lines. Being able to add numbers (0, 5, 10, 15, ...95) on the inner part of the circle would be nice. I hope I'm not asking for too much. Thanks for your reply.

Maybe an Excel pie chart or something like that?

I tried an Excel pie chart and was unable to divide the pie into so many pieces. Thanks for the suggestion. What I may have to do is to do it with a straight edge and protractor.

Here's how: * In Col A, Row 1, enter 3.6 * Copy the 3.6 value down the column A for 100 rows. * Select all the data in colum A row 1 thru 100 * Insert Chart, and select Pie Chart. Done! You now have a pie chart with 100 sections. Delete the legend if you only want to see the pie chart. One bad thing I noticed is that each of the 100 sections has a different color and you might desire to have just a black & white image. This means you'd have to select each section and change the fill color to white. Do that 100 times! very tedius. Another way to do this graphic is to use a program like Turbo Cad which will allow you to specify the increments in degees and draw a simple black and white image. Turbo-Cad is not free and unfortunately I know of no other free CAD program. ---pete--- |

Thanks Pete,
I am not that proficient with Excel only knowing some basics. I didn't try or know how to do it like you explained. I am only looking for black and white so color is not a problem. Thanks again. Rob |

assigns a different color to each section of the pie chart. That's the problem. When you go to print, try printing in Black & White. If that does not give you the desired effect, then you will have to select each section of the pie chart and change the color to white in order to make it a black and whiite image. ---pete--- |

Pete,
I see what you are talking about and that is a problem. I think I may ask people I know if they have a CAD program and ask them if they would do it for me. That does sound a lot simpler. Rob |
