Zapf Dingbats in CS3

Hey everyone!

I recently tried to use Zapf Dingbats font in InDesign CS3, when I realized that the font had been deleted from my fonts list. I can't find it anywhere. My assistant still has the font on her older computer with CS2 -- is it possible that the font got deleted when I upgraded to CS3??

Any ideas on how to get it back??

Thanks!

On the computer where it works, Control Panel, Fonts. Find the fonts you want, right click, properties. Note the file names and path - should be c:\windows\fonts. They are probably .ttf files. Copy these files to a USB key, put the key in your machine. Open your control panel, fonts. File, install new font. Browse to your key, check the box to copy fonts to fonts folder, highlight the ones you want, and install them.

Well, back in the day Zapf Dingbats was a Postscript font. I don't think you can transfer them that way, but I guess it's worth a try.

Typically you select the desired fonts when installing Adobe apps like Illustrator and Photoshop. I believe you can go through the installation to add just the fonts if desired (if GLC's instructions don't work).

Added: it does appear to be available as OpenType, but I don't know if Adobe provides the OpenType version typically.
