I am having a problem with Microsoft Word software which I cannot seem to be able to correct.
I am writing a document that consists of approximately 200 pages. When I go through the document to correct errors I find that I cannot move certain paragraphs up where they belong on the previous page. Instead when I click on the paragragh I get the header and footer dotted lines and toolbar With a huge footer. Setting the footer dimensions doesn't fix the problem. The huge footer which is about 3 times too tall persists. I can't seem to be able to reduce its size to what I want . Can someone tell me how to correct this? |

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...CH060829871033 .. I suspect that you have he Widow and Orphan controls such that it forces a page break so that a paragraph is not split between 2 pages.

Would it help if I uninstalled Word and reinstalled it? |

Try showing all of your hidden characters. As Statica mentioned, you may have some formatting going on in the background that you cannot see.
