Strange Question about Hotmail?
Hi
I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this but I couldn't find anyplace else. I tried Microsoft's site but couldn't find anything related to this problem. I created a Hotmail account for an older friend of mine how is kind of new to the computer thing. Here is the problem... We are accessing the account online. The account set up went fine, I can send from it, I can receive messages at it. The problem is that when we go to the in box I can't figure out how to open the messages that have been received? Double clicking on them, right clicking on them nothing gives my any option to open the messages and view them. They just sit in the list showing as unread. Were not having a problem with any other links or anything like that only opening the messages. Anyone have any ideas? If I can't figure this out I'll have to go and set up some other kind of e-mail account for him. Mike |

A simple "single" click anywhere in the line that shows an email should open it.

i have noticed that sometimes it takes a while for hotmail to fill all its stuff (dont know what else to call it) when it first comes on ,then i can open the mail, i'm on dial up that may make a difference.

Hi
In the for what is is worth department. The problem was that we were using Goggle Chrome as a browser. When we switched to Internet Explorer the messages would open up. When we switched back to Chrome they wouldn't. Seems weird, everything else seems to work in Chrome but not Hotmail. Mike |

Perhaps Google would prefer you use another email service.
