Please list your specs.
Exactly how are you trying to "reformat" your hard drive? Please be detailed. |

Hi
Did you try just removing Internet Explorer to see if things go back to normal? If your computer is still booting it's worth a shot, since that's when your problems started. Mike |

Hello GLC,
I reformated hard drive before...ok there we go. Method1. I swichted off my PC with a windows XP disk inside and booted the pc... then chose boot up PC from that CD inside...I selected the drive where that CD is...but still nothing is hapening. Method2. I inserted my windos XP cd onto my cd rom, the dist started and could see windows XP on my screen with dofferent options. I selected install windows...then windows started gathering my pc information....just seconds after that there was a message saying " "no valid system partitions were found. set up is unable to continue" I never had this message before..." I tried that so many times but nothing worked. |

We can't help you if we don't know something about your computer - such as motherboard and hard drive models. It's impossible for me to see your computer through the Internet. Last edited by glc; 05-04-2009 at 09:41 AM. |

Download Everest Home Edition here: http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.ph...c13fc5b7062019 Or Google "Everest Home Edition"
Install it, run it, at the top of the window click the 'report' button. The 'Report Wizard' will pop up. Select "System Summary Only" then click next. Now select "HTML" and click Finish. Your report will pop up. At the top of that window click "Save to file". Save it to your desktop and post it here as an attachment.

Remove all USB devices except keyboard and mouse, disconnect all other peripherals except the monitor, and boot to the XP CD. Choose Setup, and remove all partitions. Then create a new one, format it, and install Windows.
