How to install Internet explorer
I am using AOL.
About a week ago I could no longer print or delete text from my keyboard while using AOL. In addition I could no longer get Internet Explorer. I do not have any of these problems when in other programs such as Word or when using Firefox. Internet Explorer, however, is gone no matter what I am doing. It became obvious that the printing and keyboard delete problems are with AOL, and they admit it, however, they state that they cannot operate without Internet Explorer and that i have to find a way to reinstall Internet Explorer. I do have an Explorer icon. When I click on it, explorer comes on for about a half a second then disappears. Very infrequently I get the following error message: iexplore.exe - application error The instruction at "0x77c46fa3" referenced memory at "ox00390000", the memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program. Click on cancel to debug the program. I went to the Microsoft website for installing Internet explorer and the download will not work. Nothing happens when I click on the download button. Can someone tell me how to reinstall Internet explorer? Last edited by PLAZ; 05-11-2009 at 03:22 AM. |

This may sound harsh, but I'm going to give you a honest recommendation, please do not take offense.
Uninstall AOL and use a different Internet provider. Their service is bad and their software is worse. They are a dinosaur in the business. If you are in the AT&T market area, you can get their basic DSL for the same price as AOL's dialup. |
