Which version of Outlook?
Do you have all the updates for your version of Office?
Do all mails get stuck or only some?
Are you using a standard POP3 account from your ISP or an account like Hotmail?

yes pop 3 2000 office and first time it happened .out box was locked up tight couldn't delete any one of nine messages.tried some fixes from MS but nothing worked . It was like when you have to delete outbox and sent dbx files in express except you can't you the same process..in outlook .

I think you had given me the fix on express awhile ago

Thanks

Al

Unplug your network cable.
In Outlook click the Send/Receive button
Click OK on the error message
Try to delete the mail out of the outbox.

But will it let you delete the mails inside the Outbox?

What happens when you try? Are you getting an access denied error message and you're getting this error after you unplug the network cable?

Let me explain ..It keeps sending the emails repeatedly..when I am connected ....when I try to delete it says something like problem with your pop 3 server etc..
I wound up doing a restore from a image and its working now but no matter what I did it would not let me delete the emails in out box.
I tried to do the maintenance folder( dbx) thing you had given me awhile ago for express and of course I found out not so with outlook . I was hoping there was another way simular with outlook....

Al - we understand the problem - no need to "explain."

Did you UNPLUG THE NETWORK CABLE? Yes or No

Posting the Exact Error message would have been a good idea. They generally have important info/error codes that can be googled

Glad you got it sorted.
