Duplicate File Checker?

Is there a software that can detect duplicate files in the hard drive/s that you can recommend? I'm looking for a freeware type. Thanks.

Be very carefull what you delete in the way of duplicate files, I have seen people mistakenly delete duplicate system files and that has turned their computer into a very unnattractive paperweight.
Some of the early duplicate detectors just detected duplicate file names and not file extensions, thus people would not be aware of what they were deleting.

DC 1.3 has an option to *not* scan system files.

I've used it. Frankly, I'm a little leery about deleting the dups--there's so many of them. I do a few at a time.

Good idea and make sure you have a restore point to go back to before you delete anything.
