Backing up recovery partition?

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire One running XP. This netbook did not come with an XP installation disc but did come with a 5GB hidden recovery partition.

Is there any way to backup this partition in case the worst happens?

P.S. I have an external USB DVD-ReWriter so I can hopefully backup to DVD.

TIA.

Many have an option to create a cd or dvd...I'd imagine Acer would fix you up if the drive died.

Most manufacturers give you a "one shot" opportunity to create your own recovery media. If yours does, it should be somewhere in the eRecovery Management.
