What browser version are you running and do you have XP or Vista ?
Run a malware scan and if that's OK then what social networking sites, and browser add ons, are you running.

I'am running internet explorer on a vista home premuim PC. I run the windows defender scan every day, and full McAfee scan once a week. In my network sharing center it shows two connections, one is my ISP & email address which is the one beening used, and the other is my ISP Default connection. I have numerous browser add ons.

Thank you for any help you may provide. Virg

Or you can run IE without any addons by using the link in All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>IE (No addons)

I disabled the addons from around the time I first started having this problem, but the pop-up still comes on. I'll disable all the addons for a few days to see if it helps.

You're tracing back the problem.
It's likely that one of your add-ons triggered it so when you find that add-on ( If if the bunch you disabled had no effect then they're not the cause. ) you can disable or update it.

edit : It's possible the problem is an update to IE but we you can't check that until you check the add-ons.
It's also possible that McAfee is acting up but it's the same problem, you have to check the add-ons first.

Thanks pam123,
I disabled all the addons except the accelerator plugin and the pop up has not came back. I think I'll try adding them back one or two at a time starting with McAfee to see which one is the culprit.

While I'm here I noticed under the thread my post is marked moved. Did I post in the wrong place? I'm new to these forums and if I'm not doing it right please let me know.

I forget where I moved it from - but it's no big deal. That's what we are here for.
