Just about every time I get online I get this pop up message saying internet explorer has stop
working, but it is still working. Can anyone tell me how to stop this pop up message?

What browser version are you running and do you have XP or Vista ?
Run a malware scan and if that's OK then what social networking sites, and browser add ons, are you running.

I'am running internet explorer on a vista home premuim PC. I run the windows defender scan every day, and full McAfee scan once a week. In my network sharing center it shows two connections, one is my ISP & email address which is the one beening used, and the other is my ISP Default connection. I have numerous browser add ons.
Thank you for any help you may provide. Virg |

I disabled the addons from around the time I first started having this problem, but the pop-up still comes on. I'll disable all the addons for a few days to see if it helps.

You're tracing back the problem.
It's likely that one of your add-ons triggered it so when you find that add-on ( If if the bunch you disabled had no effect then they're not the cause. ) you can disable or update it. edit : It's possible the problem is an update to IE but we you can't check that until you check the add-ons. It's also possible that McAfee is acting up but it's the same problem, you have to check the add-ons first. Last edited by pam123; 06-25-2009 at 09:22 AM. |

Thanks pam123,
I disabled all the addons except the accelerator plugin and the pop up has not came back. I think I'll try adding them back one or two at a time starting with McAfee to see which one is the culprit. While I'm here I noticed under the thread my post is marked moved. Did I post in the wrong place? I'm new to these forums and if I'm not doing it right please let me know. |

I forget where I moved it from - but it's no big deal. That's what we are here for.
