Helpful software to keep on a jump drive
I get volunteered alot to work on other peoples computers. I was thinking about carrying a jump drive with me. What would be the best progrms to keep on it for diagnostics? So if they can't connect to the Internet as a example.

latest versions of firefox, AVG, spybot, malwarebytes, ccleaner, and this: http://www.yorkspace.com/pc-de-crapifier
Other things I like to have are the latest service packs (win 2000, XP, and Vista), and autopatcher for the bulk of windows updates. OpenOffice is handy to have in case you come across someone with a pirated version of office or no office at all.

I also started to keep Recuva, belarc advisor, and magic jelly bean on mine as well.
Another good idea might be a small bootable linux distro on a flash drive.

That's just BartPE on a USB stick - I use a CD for that. The UBCD4WIN version is especially useful.

Something like Everest or SIW would be handy. Not sure if they will run properly off a flash drive, but worth a try.
