EZgig and Linux

I pulled my Mandriva machine apart last Thursday, gave it a thorough spring clean, zero filled the harddrive and installed the latest 2009 version of Mandriva. I did all the updates and left it at that.
Friday morning I switched it on and the harddrive started clicking about 30 seconds after booting up, any disk activity is causing the harddrive to click so obviously it's about to go and meet it's maker.
Question is. Before I pull the harddrive out, does anyone know if EZgig recognizes and works with Linux? I will not be attempting to install EZgig on my Mandriva machine, I will use my test rig to ghost the install from the going bad harddrive to a spare, all I need to know before pulling the drive is will EZgig on my XP test rig see the Mandriva installation and ghost it?

From the conversations I've had with Apricorn in the past, I *believe* you can clone a Linux drive by booting with the CD. It probably will not work if you try to run EZ-Gig in Windows.

I had a feeling that might be the case G.
To be honest I wanted to avoid doing a reinstall. I downloaded the 2009 version Thursday while doing the spring clean and despite the fact it was the latest version the updates still took a long time. I'll try both methods and see what happens, if push comes to shove it will have to be a fresh install, no personal files involved yet so no biggie.

Why not keep it simple and hook up a drive to the Mandriva machine with USB, boot with EZ-Gig, and see what it can do?
