Java script error message

I'm trying to contact Zonealarm support by their online chat. I keep getting an error message when I try to connect to the chat line.

This functionality requires JavaScript. Please enable JavaScript and try again.

Java is enabled. I uninstalled all Java updates and reinstalled it but still the same error message. I'm running Win XP. What am I doing wrong? Zonealarm does not provide an email address for support, at least I can't find it.

Java is different than JavaScript. Java runs applets and applications while JavaScript is responsible for interactive functionality in your browser.

Go here: http://supportdetails.com/

It should tell you if you actually have JavaScript enabled or not.

I tested ZA's live support feature, and it seems to function properly, so it's not a problem on their end.

Are you talking about the "internet options" advanced tab?

No I'm talking about that window that pops up on sites, and it could be any site that uses java script(or flash). that ask if you want script disabled.

I'm not sure" where" it blocks but it won't necessarily clear after a re-boot and you may still be seeing java script enabled even when it's not.

The latest one. How do I verify this? I contacted the ZoneAlarm online help using my other PC and all was well. I'm not running ZoneAlarm on that PC. But this PC wont' allow me to connect due java error. Both PC's are running the same version of IE. Maybe its the way ZoneAlarm is configured.
