nero 5?
yes i know its an old version but the strangest thing happens when i try to burn a cd.
Nero always wants to make a image file and dosent recognize my burner drive. dvd shrink and dvd decrypter does recognize it. Is it because nero 5 is too old? I also got into my drive settings and there was no option for region 1 in the region settings. looked it up and the web site said drive was not for that region? burner is sony optiarc AD-7200A

It's probably too old and that burner is not in its database. Nero no longer offers a downloadable update for version 5 and 6, they want $12.99 for a CD. You can try this though, it will update any licensed version of 5:
http://www.oldversion.com/download_N...5.5.10.56.html Grab an up-to-date freebie such as CDBurnerXP, Deepburner Free, or ImgBurn. NOTE that if your Nero 5 shipped with a burner (OEM version) it will ONLY work with that model burner - and the update won't help you. |
