Two solutions.
The first is to use a cheap usb thumb drive to become the invalid drive.
Plug it in and in disk management give it the letter G.

The second :
This depends on how brave you're feeling, you are going to have to edit the registry.
So first, back it up to prevent disaster if something unforeseeable happens : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

Now you go to Start>Run>Regedit
You're going to do a registry search for :\G references, since you don't have a 'G' drive any references to it will stand out, delete those.
Don't get casual you just want the ones reading G in registry values and keys.

Since you're having trouble with Quicktime you may want to download and install the stand alone version first then re-download and install iTunes.

You sure you didn't have something like - maybe an iPod - on there at one time and it took G?

No there was no IPOD connected at the time GLC. What I think is happening is, The computer once went threw a disk imaging process. Another words someone imaged the OS and installed that image to the system. Somehow the computer thinks there is still a G drive involved.

OK so backup the registry / clear out all the :\G references correct>

Thank you guys so much!!!!!!
