Nero 6 Unable to restore back up

I am unable to restore my backup of important files of the "My Documents" folder made to 2 DVDs using the backup in Nero 6 reloaded. The prog wants a *.nbi file which it says should be on the last backup disk but I cannot find this, although all the other backup files appear to be there. I cannot remember having any problems when I made the backup except it did take ages to do. I have had to reformat and reload windows XP and have reinstalled nero in order to do this restore.I would be most grateful for any help.

Do you have the HIDE system/known files types disabled?

Is the NBI file on the first dvd?

I woner if your backup dvd's are bootable?

The recording utility used in Nero BackItUp which creates bootable DVD's and CD's make such files. These files are made by Nero to store backup and system data which can be used at a later date to restore for making the system back normal. This utility shall work even when you are working and it shall continue as a backup process in multitasking. This file can later be used by system restore to restore data on the machine. Nero can be used to create CD/ DVD for storing the backup of files and other data which need to be secured before a system halt or a re-install of the OS
