MS Excel Problem
Hello,
Everytime I open MS Excel 2002 I get a pop-up message that says excel can't find a certain file that was already deleted. How can I make Excel stop trying to open this file on startup? See attached screenshot. thks, CV6 |

This may give you a clue what's happening:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291218 Check your Excel startup folder. Quote:

Thanks for the reply.
I checked Tools>Options> General and there are no files listed in the "At startup, open all files in:" field. It looks like the popup is referring to an add-in since it has a .xla file extension. Previously, I actually un-installed Excel and then re-installed it and it still does the same thing. Thanks, CV6 |

This is a pain but did you check to see if a copy of that file is still around ?

Try going to Tools > Add-ins and see if its listed there. You should be able to disable it here.
