Hotmail folder question
I don't use/know anything about Hotmail. Someone has asked me how to forward a file containing appx 400 hotmail messages from someone Peru to a recipient in Canada.
Is it as easy as dragging the file into an email and forwarding that email to a recipient or are there other things to consider? Apparently, the person in Peru right-clicks the file of Hotmail messages but no menus come up to send/move/copy etc. I'm not certain about the operating system though I believe it's XP. Any help appreciated. |

What happens when you start a new mail message and click the Attacment button? |

Hey Ezy
I know it's kind of a muddied question I posed. I'm dealing with third or fourth-hand information about a program I know nothing about. From what I gathered, there is a self-created file on the Peru PC that has all of the Hotmails needing to be sent afar. I'm not entirely sure where exactly it is located on the PC. I told my friend who asked me this to have the person in Peru right-click the file in question or simply drag the file into a new email message. I was told that right-clicking the file brings up no menu options at all to send it or copy it or whatever. I'm not sure yet if sending the Hotmail file via anew email message works or not. I'll find that out today. |

Pretty much ALL email apps have an "attach" button/option/function to attach files to emails...Hotmail even has the attach function.

Yah - I kinda thought that too. I'll chat with my friend again this morning and try to get some better info. Not really sure why sending a text file would be so difficult...
Thanks for your assistance so far. |

A right click etc. function will only work if there is a local, default email protocol/address specified for their computer.
The easiest way is to open Hotmail through the web interface (hotmail.com ) and click on new mail and the attach link. Then use the file selection box to upload and send the file. |
