Error 81000306
This is an incurable error that prevents me from logging into MSN Live Messenger, ever since the summer actually, and I've done nothing to cause it. I've tried the MSN guides and help and whatnot to cure it, but to no avail.
Anyone familiar that can help? Thanks.

A little more information please. What was being done when the error was posted? Any message that went along with the error code? And have you tried Googling it and going to microsoft.com and doing a search on that?

It occurs when I attempt to sign in. Email... password... sign in... wait... fail. t spends a few minutes trying to log in and doesn't, culminating in an error message instead. I've tried with two emails so it's not an email problem.
I've tried the fixes that the Windows Live Help "more information" link leads to too. No good. I have searched the internet, but I haven't found much apart from the possibility of fireware from routers getting in the way. I run a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter but with the Windows wireless network connection stuff, not the bundled software. |

Just realized you were talking about MSN live messenger rather than Windows Live Email which I'm more familiar with. There is a whole discussion thread I see from Googling the code.
On techspot.com at http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic60134.html gets a whole long message thread discussing the error code. Some of the suggestions have to do with checking some of the services or clearing certain folders. Has it ever worked right on this PC? If you try it from another PC I assume you can get in? Trying to isolate that it is specific to the one PC. |
