I'm done with iTunes and DRM

I want to convert MY purchased .m4p files that I got from iTunes to mp3. Anyone know of a good software that will do this? I'll even buy it; if it is quality and it works. I found Tuneclone out there, but it seems as if iTunes found a fix for that software.

I figure I should be able to convert the music, since it is MINE, and I BOUGHT IT! (are you listening iTunes??)

Seriously, any thoughts and comments are welcome.
Thank you in advance.

You're a little late.
Apple dropped DRM from all its iTunes music last year and it had dropped it from all EMI music, as well as Indies, in spring of the year before.

Right click and get the info for any music you've purchased since the above dates, you may not need to do a conversion on it.

Depending on how many iTunes tracks you've got you may want to :

1. Pay the .30 per track and get the drm free version which is also 256kbps .
2. Copy it as an audio track and convert from there.

Thanx for the post Pam,

I didn't realize I was looking for a solution to a problem that didn't exist anymore. I guess that's why forums exist and we ask (dumb) questions.

...now to search for a new Media Player Software and Portable Media device....

Sandisk Clip+

Both have expandable memory. Both spank Ipod in terms of sound quality (as measured by Cnet, distortion and S/N measurements).

You can play OGG or FLAC on both devices. OGG has the advantage over MP3 in that there is no license fee for it. Like FLAC, it's a free codec.

Hmm....

To make things easy, I'm downloading the DRM free songs for .30. However, as I'm downloading the unprotected songs, Windows Media Player is only listing every other song that is downloaded.

(for example)
I download songs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
WMP only lists songs: 1, 3, 5

What is up with that?

So iTunes and Windows don't work in partnership?
Why are you surprised?

The WMP habit of copying, imperfectly, iTunes downloads is known.
Create a file for the new downloads you want in WMP and then import it.

Just wanted to say thanx for the help and suggestions.

Update: I am using Media Monkey to replace iTunes, and for now I'm using my Palm Pre as my portable media player.

Thanx again
