Where are E-mail folders in Ourtlook 2007
I found the exact location of the E-mail folders in Outlook Express, Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail, but I can NOT find the location of the email folders in Outlook 2007. Any help here ?? They have to be somewhere, I just can't find them. I do have the folder option set to display all folders, so they are NOT hidden. Running Windows 7 Pro. if that matters. Thanks, Mike

Here : http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup2007.asp
Scroll down till you get to Vista and Windows 7 file locations.

All your mail folders are in the "outlook.pst" file, as it's always been with Outlook. It's a single file database.

Thanks Pam123, and glc for the replies. OK, I found that "outlook.pst" file using Windows Explorer. So, in two or three years from now, when I get another computer, can I just copy that file to a flash drive, and then go into Outlook 2007 which will probably be installed on the NEW computer. Delete that outlook.pst file on the NEW computer, and then copy the outlook.pst file from the flash drive to the new computer where I just deleted that file. This seems like it would be the easiest way to get email to a new computer.

You won't even have to delete the old. Just put it on the jump drive, find where it is on the new one, cut (or copy if you want to keep it on your jump drive) it from the jump drive, paste it on the new computer and when it asks if you want to replace it say yes.

Or you can use the Outlook import wizard and import the info from the .pst file into the new installation.
