Window Live Mail Issues

Have this program, some issues I am not smart enough to figure out. Any ideas would help from those who use it. I have Gmail as main email and one other address Use XP.

Issues.
1. All my sent mail shows my name and subject from the mail I sent, not the recipient's name. How to change?
2. Under Sync, it takes too much time as it checks for new mail, then tries to download messages from every folder i have, even sent, deleted etc. Why? How to change.

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

1. Did you add the person as a contact? I believe you can put in the name you want them listed as there.
Example:
to: email@hotmail.com <-- that's the part your having problems with correct?
from: youremail@hotmail.com
subject: St. Patricks day

2. If you have tons of email it can take a while, what I'd do is go to ...
http://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=w...4855&mkt=en-us (or gmail, whichever it is your trying to download via Windows Live Mail)
Then delete all the messages you don't want in the web browser version. That should help your huge clutter of emails.

A good review of Live's settings, and how you set it up, would also help : http://www.webdevelopersnotes.com/ti...mail/index.php
