You don't have a DX11 card, so it's running DX11 in software emulation.

I don't think you CAN install DX10 on Win7. Check with the game maker's support to figure out what it's complaining about.

they dont complain they just ask to update dx , i played far cry 2 on dx10 and it was integrated in win 7 or the game installer updated it . but far cry 2 is older than borderlands .

when i updated to latest dx user run time the other game borderlands worked

so i think win 7 dose not have latest dx .

i dont know haw they run side by side cause u only see dx11 in dx dialog

but i think dx9 and 10 and 11 are included in dx 11 dialog somehow and that this update have
dx 9x and 10 and thats why they call it user time . they dont call it dx9c update anymore .

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...D-85FC422D1388

even at dx11 web i dont see a dx 11 update . they all point to one file which is that

DirectX End-User Runtime
The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime provides updates to 9.0c and previous versions of DirectX — the core Windows® technology that drives high-speed multimedia and games on the PC. 2/5/2010

http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US...s/directx.aspx

please advise . thanks

my budget in video cards cant pass 200$ . am still running newer games at high settings or medium
at worse cases with 60+ fps

whats the point on buying a dx 10 gtx200 series now ? sooner ir later the fermi will go down
to 200$ then going dx11 is the best deal . looking haw the gtx260 prices went down in few weeks is a good sing for that .

nvidia cards don't really go down in price much, so I doubt you will ever get a GTX4xx for your budget!

i must not agree with you khalil , what goes up must come down , in video cards market with ati
around .

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13924_3-9990077-64.html

i bought my card just last year for 220$ the gtx260 was around 400$

look at this beauty gtx 260 216 sp with after market cooling dual fan :

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...059&CatId=3775

i mean at 4/4/2009 just last year i paid 220 $ for my card . this gtx260 card is even cheaper now than 220 $ .

u can get the 9800gtx+ for less than 100$

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...460&CatId=3670

even if i was wrong , ATI will have a good dx11 card around that price by next year .

ATI already has reasonably priced DX11 cards.

Except Khalil was talking about nvidia's side of the graphics cards, not ATI.

lol

It is not about proving you wrong, I have been wanting to get more GTX275s cards for my folding farm but their price is still where it was 3 months ago even though the GTX480s are out, for a while you couldn't even get one anywhere, non of my 4 distributors had them. The GTX275s, 285s and 295s will run out before their price drops that is just how Nvidia is.
I remember the 8800 Ultra never dropped in price same was for 9800GT2, I applaud Nvidia for not giving away their high end products.

well they gave away the 260gtx 216 at 199 , anyway ill be more than happy to
sell nvidia out , after that re branded junk they scammed me with hehe
revenge is sweet .

but what happened has happened . i am committed for my plans , i never meant to build
an enthusiastic pc . but i spent more on the infra structure to last 4 years and video card
2 years . i bought mine last April so i change it next April . ill play games on low . i dont mind
that . am used to it . i played crisis warhead with my old p4 3ghz 1 gig ram 6200xfx 256 mb
hehe .. and finished the game like anyone else .

there will be a gtx460 i guess , i might snip at that sooner . if it was made .
