Slimming down an installation disc
When the time comes for me to install Nero since there are only two programs that I install from the disc I have to put an X next to about ten programs to tell Nero to not install those. It really would be cool to find a way that I could just extract the two programs I want from the installation disc and burn those onto a disc. That way the installation would go a bit faster.
I tried DVD shrink but that did not work. I know of a program called nLite but is that only for installing Windows XP? If you think you can help me please post suggestions. |

I'm surprised nobody has developed a program to slipstream a disc other than the Windows XP disc. I mean there are programs that do just about anything else.
Actually it may be possible to do this using Visual Studio. But then a person would need some programming skills and know how to use Visual Studio. I did some programming for awhile but quit. It's really not for me. Last edited by 357mag; 04-19-2010 at 01:45 AM. |
