ZIP archive extracting problem

Hi guys!

Today I downloaded Ableton demo from the official site - it's ZIP archive. There's one large (1,2 GB) EXE-file in it. So when I try to extract the file, WinRAR stops responding at 99% and I'm unable to end process in Task Manager. Explorer window also freezes. Then I reset the PC, and when I try to open this "extracted" EXE, explorer window freezes again and free space on disk (C) is disappearing fast.

I also tried using 7zip but it didn't help. The archive is not corrupted.

It's Vista, 2 GB RAM. What do you think is the problem? Your help is much appreciated!

What steps did you take to determine this?

Some zip files are self exptracting and must be doubled clicked on rather then extracted...

I tested the archive in WinRAR.
