Nero Burning issues
Hey guys,
I have Nero 7 and recently it will not burn audio for me on to the disc. When I drag a file to be burned, it says "One or more files could not be added to the compilation. It may be possible, that the files can be added, if a dedicated plugin is installed." I tried searching in help but it doesn't show any topics regarding that. Recently I've installed K-Lite codec which I assume may be the issue. Does anyone have a work around or is there a way to disable K-Lite while I burn and then turn it back on? Thanks, Dave

I have experience with burning software not recognizing a format (say Audacity) or not having a codec (mp3 lame), but not sure on yours. Could the files themselves be corrupted or wrong extension name?

The files are MP3 format. I even tried dragging files that I've previously burned but the same pop up shows. I'll try to uninstall K-Lite codec pack later to see if it will solve the issue.
In the meantime, is there a reliable freeware for burning music on to cds? Thank you. Dave |

Check to see if you have a lame or equivalent decoder. I would think that it would have come with it. Another thing might be what settings it encodes in, though it still doesn't seem likely with a paid program. Are the files copy protected (DRM)?

casey,
I'm creating an audio cd instead of data cd because my cd player in the car can not play mp3 discs. So right when I uninstall k-Lite codecs, I can burn my mp3 files again. I have yet to find a work around for having both programs

Why do you NEED the K-Lite codecs? If you are having trouble playing some media, try VLC, it will play almost anything and it does not need codecs.

I do have VLC, however, when I stream divx media online, it requires the k-lite codecs otherwise the sound won't sync or play at all with divx web player.
