Anyone know of a good scanning software that I can use for a small business to scan client files and organize and retireve them as we need them? I have looked at the Paperport and Omni software by Nuance but the reviews do not sound a bit good on the software or the support.

I have used several versions of Paperport that came with various scanners. They all included omniscan but I admittedly don't ocr that much. I really haven't had much problems with paperport and have never had to contact the support people. I am currently using version 10 but I am sure they are past that by now since I bought my scanner some time ago.

Newer Version
Looks like they have a version 12 out. The companies write up on the software makes it sound really good, but a lot of the feed back from users doesn't sound good at all. Not just on the software but with the company service as well. Sounds like a company called Scansoft was bought out by Nuance and that seems to be where the trouble began. I guess I'll keep on looking to see what I can find.
