I use OpenOffice 2.4 and its Writer component for my word processing needs...
However, I'm disappointed to find I can't scan documents via OpenOffice Writer; is there some good workaround or solution to this that doesn't take a rocket-science-complicated approach? I'm running under Win XP Pro, SP II. Thanks for any suggestions! |

You can't scan into any word processor without having some kind of OCR software. What model is your scanner and what software did it come with?

The scanner is a CanoScan 4400F. Presto Page Manager 7.15 and OmniPage SE 4.0 came bundled with it.
Both programs are installed. |
