Remote Desktop
Hey guys, I have always wondered on how to use Remote Desktop, and never really looked into it in detail. I'm going to be going away to school in a few weeks, and I think it might be beneficial to my family, if I hooked up Remore Desktop on all of our home computers, so in the case of a problem, all I have to do is use this. Now all of our computers at home are all Windows XP SP2 x86, and I'm on Windows 7 x64. How do I go about setting this up?

XP Home for example doesn't come with RD....
And you really need a static IP on thier end so you can connect..... Using something like LogMeIn (free) would be much easier. |

Ok, I guess in this case, any program that could help that will perform a remote desktop-type of setup would do good. I'll definitely look into that LogMeIn; now do I need to know a static IP, or does it do that automatically? Like if I use this, does it work much like what many tech companies use to control your computer?

You don't need to know IP's to use Logmein. It works very much like what the tech companies use.
