VM Information
I was looking into Virtual Box, but it seems the site (http://www.virtualbox.org/) is either down, or there's something wonky on my end. Can someone confirm site functionality? I do have access to Virtual PC will that work for the time being?

Their site is down.
Any reason why you want Virtual Box over your current solution?

I wanted to evaluate both. And from reading the information I found on this site Virtual Box seems the better choice.
I'm open for suggestions. I'm looking at both gaining familiarity with VM, and utilizing it for various projects (networking labs, working with Linux, etc.) I'm planning on using Server 2008 R2 as my base OS setup as a workstation. Will this impact (positively/negatively) VM performance? As always, I'm open to advisement, direction, and input. klutz Last edited by klutzmonger; 09-24-2010 at 01:43 PM. |

I haven't played around with virtual machines other than M$'s, whatever its name is, over 3 years ago as an experiment, and VMWare for remote access to tax software.
From what I read in MaximumPC, Virtual Box is the one recommended. Hopefully their site will be up and running again soon. |
