Startup

I just got my new laptop about 3 weeks ago and it's already slowing down quit a bit. I was planing on uninstalling some program and stop some programs from running in startup, hoping it will speed my computer up some bit. But I dont know what programs do stop from starting up and which to uninstall and I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit.

Adobe ACrobat - Not needed at boot: disable it from starting up with Windows
DDNIMSGUSER Application - Lenovo stuff. It may be needed: leave it, or try disabling it and see if the machine misses it
MUY startMenu APplication - From Cyberlink. Probably not needed: try disabling it and see if the PC works fine without it
Cyberlink YouCam tray - Probably not needed: try exiting it and see if your webcam will work
Lenovo Veriface Lenovo stuff. It may be needed: leave it, or try disabling it and see if the machine misses it
Lenovo SlideNav - Lenovo stuff. It may be needed: leave it, or try disabling it and see if the machine misses it
Symantec Security Tech - Crap: uninstall it. Anything from Symantec should be smoked on sight and on the spot
GOD desktop aplication - huh?
RealPlayer Not needed at startup: disable it from starting up with Windows
Quicktime - Not needed at startup: disable it from starting up with Windows
Winamp Agent - Not needed: disable it
Java Platform - This is probably the Java Updater. It's not needed at startup: disable it from starting up with Windows
hpwuSchd App - HP Updater: bloatware. Kill it on sight. Uninstall it.
HPQSRmon app - HP stuff. It may be needed: leave it, or try disabling it and see if the machine works fine without it
Trillian - Not needed at startup, unless you use it all the time and want to save yourself the trouble of manually starting it, otherwise disable it from starting up with Windows
Bluetooth Software - Probably needed: leave it
HP digitial imaging Not needed at startup: disable it from starting up with Windows

A couple of programs to help prevent programs from startup are StartUpLite and PcDecrapifier.

Decrapifier is an excellent tool for uninstalling all the bloatware without doing it one at a time.

Yep, I've used Decrapifier. Nice program. Lightweight and simple to use.

Just a note on Decrapifier, as this just happened a moment ago: careful when using it to remove MyWinLocker from Egis. It won't remove it properly, and then you won't be able to uninstall the app, as PCDecrapifier does delete some of its files. Best to remove this trialware with the good old Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall.
