Word problems.
Hi folks,
I cannot open Word today on my Pc. I keep getting an Error Message saying "[null} not a valid Win 32 application". I bought this Pc about 3 years ago from Pc world and it came with pre-installed software. Following a problem, I downloaded an earlier version of word which I have on disc. Then a year ago, I needed a new hard drive and the repair man loaded another version of word, probably 2007. I am hoping to build a new Pc early next year but until then I was thinking of downloading Abiword from GOFree .com Can anyone give me a reason not to download this version. Is this a reliable site? Thanking you for your responce in anticipation. Regards, Volvomanx |

If you need a good free open source substitute for Word then try Open Office. Their software is compatible with MS Word files.
OpenOffice.org

I 've used Abiword and it's a good program.
Compatible with Word and of course ODF.
