I need a good windows xp software that will turn off my computer after few hours. Like a timer.

You can do it without software using the task scheduler.

Using Task Scheduler to schedule the computer to shut down and restart at a specific time

Is there a different way? This thing happens at a specific time. I actually meant to say a software that shut downs your computer when you are AFK.

Not that I'm aware of, but you can enable hibernation and set it to hibernate after a certain amount of inactivity time.

You can set a task to run after a certain amount of idle time.

Sure. Create the task, then once it's created, go to the advanced settings and look for triggers. You can specify idle time and in minutes.

I used this when I used to board with a beldame who used to have her telly on way into the night, and I had to go to bed before mid-night. One thing that helped counter her noise somewhat was my PC and its seven fans. So I just set the PC to turn itself off after two hours or so.
