Hi All:
Here's the order that I run my antivirus/spyware utilities. AVG 2010, CCleaner, Spybot S&D, Anti-Malware, Privacy History Eraser, Windows RegClean, Super AntiSpyware, Windows Cleanup. Then I defrag. Just wondering if anyone thinks I should change the order, the reason I ask is Spybot S&D never finds anything, and it takes a real long time to finish. Maybe I should quit using Spybot S&D? Thanks ahead of time,

All I use any more is Microsoft Security Essentials, with occasional manual scans with Malwarebytes and CCleaner. The rest of the stuff you are using isn't really necessary.

Thanks glc:
That's going to be a big help, but where do I find Microsoft Security Essentials? I Went to MS and found it, mssefullinstall-x86fre-en-us-xp. Going to install now. I'll let you know if I run into trouble. Last edited by Bill Lane; 12-08-2010 at 05:14 PM. Reason: Spelling error & more info. |
