Trying to install software
There is software which does the following which I would like to use... "This device plugin runs iTunes in background (minimised) and allows MM to transfer tracks into it in the same manner as a media player i.e. like a USB stick or MP3 player." It is called d_itunes.dll
More of a description... MediaMonkey • View topic - MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll) The download is found here... d_iTunes.dll This is where it is supposed to be installed... c:\program files\MediaMonkey\Plugins folder The file download successfully and when I go to open it, Windows pops up a box which asks me how I want to open this file. So I selected Word, which only gave me gibberish. So this time I let Windows choose software which would allow me to open a .dll file. So I picked, downloaded and installed Free Dll viewer. Free Dll viewer installed and allowed me to look at d_itunes.dll's folders and files. The problem is, I just don't see how to install the d_itunes.dll software. The instructions say it is supposed to install into Media Monkey and describes the pathway where it is supposed to go. The problem is, I see no way of bringing up the installation window (Installation Wizard)?, which allows me to install it.

You don't need to open it or install it. Simply copy the dll to the plugins folder.

Thanks much George. I seem to have a knack for making things more complex than necessary.

Glad you got it figured out. DLLs are never executable from the command line, they contain routines that are callable from other programs.
