Audio Software
Hi, I am trying to find a free audio program for a friend. I am trying to set him up to record cassettes to his hard drive (Waves or MP3) and then burn to CD.
I use Goldwave (paid) and Audacity, but am trying to find something more simple for him. Something with a good interface, easy to use, not a bunch of editing features he will never use. Basically, just something to record the audio to the hard drive (with recording level adjustments) and preferably free. I think he has Itunes or Windows Media on his computer, so if one of those have that feature, great, we could try it there. Does anyone know of something that fits? Thanks in advance.

There really isn't anything easier and better than Audacity - the learning curve isn't that steep.

Okay, thanks. I have used it some, but thought it has so many bells and whistles that he wouldn't use that I might find something easier for him to mess with. Maybe I can get together with him and get him started if our schedules every sync up.
