wav/mp3 splitter
Hello.
Can anyone suggest a free tool that will split 1 hour wavs (or mp3s) into 5 minute tracks, which can then be saved as say mp3 File1 -File12? Audacity doesn't seem to. Roxio no longer does so simply nor does Goldwave. Or am I missing a trick? Cheers, Dazzer |

Audacity will, but I'm not sure it's what you are looking for.
I have used audacity for this, but not for a lot of splits as it gets time consuming. To do so in Audacity, select the portion of audio that you want and then File-->Export Selection... |
