updating a damaged or missing driver??!!

hey ppls me again, this time i'm trying to help my sister in law with her computer
she can't get any sound out of it so i checked her device manager and found this: Multimedia Audio Controller [UNKNOWN DEVICE]
Chip: Intel 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller
Detail
PnpID
VEN_8086&DEV_24D5&SUBSYS_02851014&REV_02
Vendor

Device
Multimedia Audio Controller
Chip Vendor
Intel
Chip
82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller
now i tried to locate a driver off the net but it seems like either you have to pay for it or take your chances with an unknown source that could do who knows what to her computer. Can anyone tell me a good site for drivers??
Tried the intel site.

Who made your computer and what is the model number? Or what is the same for the motherboard?

We need the exact model, please. It should be on a sticker on it somewhere.

You can try the intel driver update utility from intel tech support here:

That is only going to work if there's an Intel-branded board in there, which is not very likely. The drivers are going to have to come from Lenovo, and that's why we need the exact computer model.
