Powerpoint 2007 to 2003

Can I open a Powerpoint 2007 file, which is locked with a password, in a desktop running MS Office 2003?

Because even if i save the 2007 file as 2003 version, is it possible to open that password-protected file in a PC with ms office 2003?

First - the pc with 2003 must have the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Products - Microsoft Office

But odds are the password will continue to work.
