Outlook 2010: Upgrading From Outlook Express

I recently downloaded from Microsoft on a trial basis Office 2010 Home and Business.

In this regard I’m experiencing difficulty in upgrading from Outlook Express on Windows XP to Outlook 2010.

When I set up Outlook Express several years ago, I entered a user name and a password. However, as I live alone and am sole user of my computer I never use these details. I enter Outlook Express by double clicking its icon on my desktop and I’m taken directly to my inbox.

The problem is that because of the lapse in time I forget the above details, i.e. my user name and password. However, in order to upgrade to Outlook 2010 these details are requested.

Is there any way that I can recover my user name and password for Outlook Express?

The user name and password are tied to your ISP. If you ever log into your ISP's web site - that is the user name and password you need.

In OE ->Tools->Accounts->Properties->Server tab will show you the user name...and counting the little dots like the attached screen shot will show you how many characters your password is.
