Have you tried a system restore back to a date when they still worked?

Have you gone to the BBC iPlayer board and checked for any updates or patches ?

BBC - iPlayer Message Board - Home

If there's a fix it's likely there.

What does 'my' utube mean? Can you go to the general search area on the utube's webpage and pull up any song and play it?

What player is usually used when using utube? When I do - it looks like it's using adobe flash. NOt sure if your doing something different, which is why I asked what "my" utube means in your original statement.

By tube I mean when I try to play downloaded clips

The fault occurs in all my browsers Firefox, Internet Explorer,
Google Chrome ,Netscape in a similar manner so It is not a browser fault but is in Windows

I did use a trial of TuneUPUtilities 2011 some time ago which may have caused the fault

I can not use System Restore it makes no difference

Can you try another player to see if it happens? Is it isolated to the iplayer?

I'll assume that when you download a clip from utube - it ends up using iplayer to play the tune. I'm not too familiar with iplayer - but how about uninstalling it, rebooting, and reinstalling it?

Would this help?

BBC iPlayer - Help - How do I reset my digital rights management (DRM) folder in Windows XP?

There is a forum in there too that you could write on.
