Microsoft Office 2007 Professional: Made in China

I’m in the market for Microsoft Office 2007 Professional.

I came across the product on eBay (see link below). It’s new, factory sealed, £90, not OEM and comes with a product key and certificate of authenticity. Also the seller has been established on eBay for five years and has consistently good feedback.

However, the product is made in China and the seller is located in Indonesia.

Has anyone had problems with software bought under these conditions?

Ugh, gray market. Does the seller at least guarantee that the software is in English and that it'll work on your system?

It wouldn't surprise me if the cd was made in China.... But, I don't make gambles like buying from out of the country people unless someone I know has already done it.

I would be hesitant to buy things from overseas and through Ebay. Both create the opportunity for someone to rip you off with no recourse. If you still want to do this then use a credit card so if you do get ripped off then you can file a statement with your credit card company. They can then reverse the charges if they judge that you were a victim of fraud.

Never mind, I saw in the website he only takes Paypal...which for me sets off alarm bells because Paypal is not worth a crap for protecting you.

I'd pass on it.

Just an FYI, OpenOffice/OpenLibre is free.
