Is this a 64-bit version of Windows 7?

Flash doesn't run on 64-bit browsers. You have to use the 32-bit version of IE. You can find it in the Start Menu.

Windows 7 64 will run 32 bit applications. Look in your x86 Programs Folder and you will see which applications. I have Win7 64 and my Adobe Flash folder resides in the x86 folder.

I would go directly to Adobe's website and download it from there just to make sure it is not a spoof that is going to install malware or sneak in somebody's crapware, like their taskbar. Never accept an offer to update someone else's software. Instead, go to the official website for the software you want to update or a known legitimate website like FileHippo that lists clean software downloads.
