Question ** Can't see YouTube Video **

I've always been able to watch videos on YouTube, but today all I get is the audio.

My RealPlayer can download the video, and it plays just fine on my computer (Windows Media Player), but I would like to see it before downloading.

WinMediaPlayer version: 11.0.5721.5280

Adobe Flash Player version 10.2.152.32 updated the other day, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Any ideas as to what to look for to correct this problem?

Thanks ahead of time for your input,

Did you try more then one video?
Did you reboot the machine and try again?

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but I was showing one to someone filling in for the Administrative Asst. at church the other day. When the Asst. came back, she got a warning about a virus on her computer. I don't know if the two were related or not. In this case, I was using the guest account to show the fill-in stuff and perhaps it didn't have the plugin installed correctly. I haven't checked it since under that account. But, I thought I would mention it in case the two were related.

EzyStvy, yes I rebooted, tried more than one video, all videos, Flash, MP3, MPEG's all work on my computer, even the YouTube videos that I only had audio on the YouTube site worked just fine when I downloaded them, it's just that I only get the audio when I visit YouTubes web site.

I've ran all anti-virus programs, nothing found.

Am I the only one having this problem at YouTube's web site?

If you go to Adobe - Flash Player
Does the top say: Adobe Flash Player successfully installed.
So the video comes up, but only sound? Is it just a black screen?

Also happen to come across this site searching around - http://www.google.com/support/youtub...y?answer=56115

Check it out. Happen from different browsers?

legend, yes I saw the"Adobe Flash Player successfully installed", I also went to the second site yesterday, I didn't have the error message ""You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video" then or today.

The audio portion plays, I can download the video, and it plays both audio & video on my computer.

Wonder what's going on?

Have you tried a system restore back to just before the problem started? They don't always cure a problem but sometimes they can cure an unknown problem.
