Scan and Edit Software
I would like to be able to scan a document and be able to edit that document. So basically scan it into MS word. Any software for that? I know Adobe reader can create a PDF that you can then edit. I would like a free version if possible. Just need it once. Its an old employee handbook that needs to be updated and its not on a computer.

What you want is called OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software. If you have a scanner it most likely came with OCR but if not, here is a link to some freebies: Top-5-free-ocr-software-tools-to-convert-your-images-into-text

The scanner software that came with our scanner lets you choose the document type the scan wants to come in as. If it comes in as a pdf - you could always convert it to doc, edit it and convert it back to .pdf.
