Microsoft Outlook 2010: One Message Sent, Three messages Received
Today, I installed Outlook 2010.
I exported messages and my address book from Outlook Express to Outlook. Then I disabled Outlook Express. A complication has arisen. When I used Outlook Express, on coming across a newspaper article online, I would sometimes copy and paste its web address into an email and send it to myself. However, when I do this on Outlook, although I send one email I receive three emails (all the same). How do I fix this? Last edited by donaldfleming; 04-11-2011 at 09:19 PM. |

Make sure you have it set to delete mail from the server when downloaded.

Hi ,
I wasn’t certain what you meant; however, I did the following: 1. File 2. Accounts settings 3. Email 4. There were three entries: 1) my email address, 2) mail.plus.net, 3) mail.plus.net (1) 5. I deleted 2 and 3 6. Now the only entry remaining is Name: my email address; Type: POP/SMTP (Send from this account by default). Also in another section of the box it says: ‘selected account delivers new message to the following location ‘my email address\Inbox in data file C:\Documents and Settings\...my email address.pst’ The problem appears to be resolved. Is this what you meant, or have I inadvertently caused myself problems in another area? Thanks for your reply. |

Nope - you fixed it. Not what I was thinking, but you found it.
