crysis on my new rig
i know its an old game now... but i have always wanted a high end PC that runs Crysis with (VERY HIGH) graphics settings all round..
just built my new rig . . . . i ran out money towards the end so i got a low end GPU just to run my monitor/ get the system running.... SPECS are - i7 960 @3.2 (stock) - Gigabyte X58A-UD5 - 6GB RAM (triple channel) - Corsair A70 CPU cooler - WD caviar black SATA2 32MB 500GB HDD(s) GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 CRYSIS actually runs very well on all (HIGH) graphics settings... (with an 80 buck, low profile geforce gt 430 card!) ![]() ![]() --- When i put all the settings on 'very high' i see much more lag... but it is still very playable... sorta.. surprised how well this cheap card performs. (i still cant wait to get a monster! but for now..... (high) will do me! ![]() Anyone else found similar results??? cheers |

When i get my SSD boot/app drive,, will only the loading times improve or will the in-game graphics show improvement too?
(after i get my system running again on the SSD i will go GPU shopping).. No girlfriend + less beer + less food = great computer! oh well
